To the Ones Who Feel Like There’s Not Enough Time

Stop putting off the things you want to do.

Stop telling yourself tomorrow or next year.

This moment is the only one promised to you. Use it well.

Each second is like gold. Don’t let days slip through your fingers. Don’t live your life in such a way that you are barrelling toward inevitable regret.

Too often, we convince ourselves of the lie that there’s not enough time. Not enough minutes or hours or days to do the things we dream of.

But all of that is just an excuse.

You are here now. In physical form. Do you know the work it took to bring you here? To get you to this moment?

This time. Right now. This is precious.

Shake yourself awake and feel the fullness of it.

Ask yourself, “Is it too much trouble to spare 10 minutes each day?”

Because 10 is the magic number. All it takes.

A lot can happen in 10 minutes.

In 10 minutes, you can meditate. Alchemize any shades of anxiety and sadness wrapped up within, shape them into beads of light. Just-like-that. Burn the ego away like a bad disease. Strip away the haze of inaction, so you can feel more fully the wild currents of your being coursing through you.

In 10 minutes, you can light the world on fire. You can create something. Write an epic paragraph or two about your life story. Profess your love to the one you’re mad about. Start training for that marathon. Practice a few chords. Pour your soul onto a canvas.

The point is: Whatever you want to do, you can do it. You can begin it. You just need 10 minutes. Don’t make it a big deal. Just set aside the 10 minutes each day. Some days, you’ll go longer; some days, you’ll be too tired or uninterested in moving forward.

Allow for imperfection. All of life is a process. Flow with it, and find what works for you. And whatever happens, don’t put aside the things that your heart longs for. You are here, in the world, to live out your own unique purpose. But you must have the courage to do that. It won’t just happen to you. You must make it happen. You will make it happen.
